Resident Stallion: BON HOFFA
Bowness Stud is home to BON HOFFA, a Group 1 winning sprinter also established as a Group 1 winning sire.
A member of the Danzig sireline through the former dual-hemisphere serving stallion Belong To Me (USA), BON HOFFA proved to be one of the leading sprinters of his time, landing the time-honoured Sir Rupert Clarke Stks (G1) over 1400m at Caulfield before finishing runner-up in the very same Melbourne spring carnival feature 12 months later. In addition, BON HOFFA won two consecutive renewals of the VRC Bobbie Lewis Hcp (G3) down Flemington's famous straight-six course.
Illustrating BON HOFFA's prepotent genes is the fact that his progeny also feature a winner of the Sir Rupert Clarke Stks (G1) in the form of Bon Aurum. Other notable offspring include the multiple stakes winning sprinter Bons Away, the dual Magic Millions feature event winner Deiheros, and the leading metropolitan winners Noble Boy, Don't Give a Damn and Bon Amiss, to name but a few.
